Colleen Nystedt

As founder, President and CEO of MovieSet™, Colleen Nystedt blends her extensive experience in film production, finance, business affairs and creative development to guide MovieSet™, a movie marketing machine that provides movie fans with true “behind-the-scenes” access to the film-making experience by virtue of MovieSet’s platform and toolkit that brings production online.

Colleen honed her entrepreneurial skills as the founder of New City Productions, which under her leadership became one of the most prolific production companies in Western Canada. Since producing her first independent feature film in 1992, Nystedt produced or supervised production on numerous feature films and TV movies for Universal Pictures, Paramount, MGM, CBS, NBC, ABC, USA, Showtime and Lifetime Networks. She sold New City to a public company in 2000.

She has been a recipient of numerous industry awards including Digital Media People to Watch in BC in 2009, Business in Vancouver – Top 40 Under 40 for Entrepreneurship and the Financial Post -13 Most Important People in the B.C. Film Industry.
