iDMAa Summit 2014 Audio Workshop for Conference Attendees

“Focus on High Quality Asset Creation in Non-Studio Environments”

Dr. Michael Wisland, Associate Professor at the university’s Department of Digital Media, will be conducting an Audio Workshop for conference attendees during Lunch on November 6. Dr. Wisland’s workshop will focus on improving the quality of creating audio assets in a non-studio environment; including microphone choice, equalization or advanced tone control, and compression. Workshop participants will come away with a number of new ideas to improve the quality of their projects.

Wisland is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Rolla, where he received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. He has been a faculty member at UVU since 1995 and currently teaches an Audio Restoration course at UVU, which is believed to be the only one of its kind in the country. Several of Dr. Wisland’s students have won Audio Engineering Awards in a variety of categories at the Annual Audio Engineering Conference.
