Professional Techniques in Matte Painting, Tim Matney

Tim Matney, an experienced visual effects artist specializing in digital matte painting will lead you through some methodology, and great tips for creating digital matte paintings. His work has appeared in many feature films, TV shows, national commercials and games. He is currently operating as a remote freelance artist for studios in New York City and Los Angeles.

“Little Bits” Workshop for Educators
Niswonger Digital Media Center
This workshop is great for both K-12 and postsecondary educators. “Little Bits” are easy-to-use electronic building blocks that can help build STEM/STEAM skills by giving students an easy and safe way of experimenting with electronic components without having to solder. These learning tools offer a multitude of hands-on problem solving opportunities for designing and prototyping interactive creations, and are easy to incorporate into the classroom. This will be a fun experience that will get you thinking about new ways to tackle problems from art to science!
