This year’s iDMAa Conference, Exhibition, and Workshop will be focused on the theme “Broken Media” and all that entails—Hacking, Cracking, Glitching, Bending, Dysfunction, Preservation, Remediation, Reform, Exploitation, Activism—all possible interpretations are under consideration! As the digital age expands opportunities for expression and reception in the arts, the reality is that the noise and clutter that comes with threatens to drown out, and in some cases suppress, important voices. How can we as digital artists act to ensure those voices, those messages, those opportunities do not get lost, or pushed aside across the larger global media and arts canvas? How can we reflect or include issues of diversity and inclusivity in our own work, and insure that the works of others receive the attention they deserve?
